Project "Development"
Project Description
Help people in less developed countries to develop; to escape from famine,
disease, poverty etc.
May involve donation of food, medicine, tools etc, and establishment of schools,
hospitals, intermediate-technology workplaces.
Project Cost
High. Will involve many trips overseas, fundraising, co-ordination with
governmental and non-governmental organisations, a significant amount of
research into intermediate technology, and dedication and perseverance in the
face of personal danger (disease etc) and generally traumatic conditions.
Probably an unfeasibly difficult a task for an individual.
Utility value
Of great value to those people who's lives are improved by it. Care must be
taken to ensure that the development does not repeat the mistakes of the
currently developed countries - in producing pollution, devestating the local
environment, and institutionalising cruelty to animals.
